KawaiiContest Round 5

This is my -almost completed- submission for the round 4 of the pageant contest. We have until the 14th so I may get the time free to finish the piece. If not, I tried with the little time I was actually able to draw this piece (remember, I just got my new desk... the computer was on the floor).

In this round, we are to draw our participating senshi's talent, and answer two questions. Which, I've decided to mix up three of her 'talents' which would be; playing the piano, controlling the winds of time, and flying (hence her wings)...

How did your senshi discover their talent? And what do they enjoy about it?

Flying.

Unlike true griffins, Paige was not born with her wings. When she was very young, maybe as old as 2, her wings began sprouting from her back to her father's happy surprise, and her mother's dismay (Setsuna). I dare say the child barely learned to walk by the time she began to flutter about on her small feathery appendages... guided by her father's knowledge from his own youth (no longer having wings at this time himself, separate story).

By the time she was in her true teens, Paige had mastered the skill of flight. An elegant bird soaring thru the sky, accompanied by her 'pet' the wind.

Along with her wings, tho, Paige's voice also began to change... and when ever she tried to yell, or emit a scream, an ear piercing hawk screech emitted from her mouth. She would try to speak in whispers, or not at. Remember, she was living in hiding in the nega-verse part of her youth, as her father, Vivo served Queen Beryl, there were plenty of reasons to screech... to either frighten a threat away, or use as a defense or attack. Soon, just younger than a teen, her vocal cords eventually became so torn raw from her hawk screech that Paige lost her voice all together...

the Winds of Time

At this is when she discovered her second talent, befriending and gaining the ability to control the winds of time. At first, when still a toddler, the wind seemed to be playing with her. Caring for her, and keeping her safe. When alone, the wind would form animals out of white dust and interact with Paige. This friendship seems almost natural to her, as she quickly learn to master many things, such as how to speak on the wind, as well as hide (or in reality transport) items in the winds to recall them at a later time, and eventually herself. She would hide all sorts of items, from a small doll, to something as large as her piano...

Piano

During the few nights she was able to spend with her father, always in secret away from prying eyes, Vivo (her father) taught his daughter many things... one being how to play the piano. After her study lessons, combat and defense training, along with many other things, Paige and her father would end each of their secret days together by playing the piano.

It was the father daughter piano duet that made every day with Vivo one to cherish... that was their connection, a bond, and secret way to say "I love you."

Paige has continued to play the same piano her father had taught her on to this day... each time it brings her back to the days when her father was alive. There are nights while Paige looks over the world from far above, mingling with the clouds in the starry sky, where she will call forth her piano keys from the wind... and softly play as the city of Crystal Tokyo sleeps below her watchful eyes..
